The organization ‘Pupil Salvation Forum’ having been located in Kalmunai, has been initiating various educational development programs in Ampara District for the last several years focusing on poor students identified to be interested in studies. There are nearly 3000 students as members in this organization and out of these students, 550 students are those who lost parents during war situation. As a part of the educational program of our organization, events of distributing learning materials needed by poor students, are being taking place. As the first phase of these program, 200 poor students have been identified in schools within the administrative limits of Navithanveli Pradeshiya Sabha, and provided with learning materials. This program was conducted in 15th village.
This program was presided by Dr. S.Ganesh, the founder and the president of this organization.
Hon. Mavai Senathirajah, member of Parliament and Secretary General of Tamil National Alliance as Chief Guest, Mr. K.Haran , Divisional Secretary of Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat and Hon.T.Kalaiyarasan, the Chairman of Navithanvli Pradeshiya Sabh as special guests of honor , Rev. Brother S.A.I.Matthew, , principals and teachers of several schools and Educationists and Social Activists participated and graced the occasion.
