Beneficiaries: 500 poor students indentified to be clever
The organization ‘Pupil Salvation Forum” which carry out activities with participation of 3000 permanent members who live under poverty line having been affected due to war situation that prevailed for decades, has been providing effective services with commitment for the educational development of poor students identified to be clever in studies in Ampara District in coordination of good hearted members of Diaspora abroad. In pursuance of its development programs, the ‘Students Motivating Clebration-03 was conducted on 17.03.2012 at around 10.00 am at Alayadivembu Pradeshiya Sabha Cultural Hall under chairmanship of Dr. S.Ganesh. This program has been sponsored by Swiss Uthayam. During the event, learning materials including bags, have been distributed for 300 poor students who have been selected from schools situated in Thiraikerny towards north and Pothuvil towards south as well as in villages such as Akkaraipattu, Urani, Aligambai, Komari, Kannahipuram, Sagamam and Alayadivembu. This program was presided by Dr. S.Ganesh, the founder and the president of this organization. Also Dr. K.Gobintharajah, Vice Chancellor Eastern University as the Chief Guest, Mr. V.Jegatheesan, the Secretary of Alayadivmbu Praeshiya Sabha as a special guest , Rev. Brother Dr. S.A.I.Matthew, Mr. G.Thillainathan, th senior lecturer of Sociology , principals an teachers of several schools and Educationists and Social Activists participated and graced the occasion.
